1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Baseto handles information when you use the app on your device. The app is designed for local screenshot review, OCR text extraction, reminder creation, PDF export, and privacy checks.

The app does not require an account, does not offer cloud sync, and does not upload your screenshots to our servers by default.

2. Information You Provide or Create

Depending on how you use the app, the app may process the following information locally on your device:

  • Screenshots you choose from Photos for review.
  • Text detected by on-device OCR.
  • Labels, queue decisions, and cleanup notes you create.
  • Reminder details you choose to save from recognized dates.
  • Exported PDFs, copied text, and other files you create through the app.
  • Local usage summaries such as weekly cleanup counts or category totals.
  • Settings, preferences, and rule choices stored on the device.

3. How We Use Information

We use this information to:

  • Sort screenshots into temporary, date-based, money or order, URL, tutorial, and privacy-related groups.
  • Help you decide whether to keep, delete later, make a reminder, export a PDF, or extract text.
  • Detect possible email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, QR codes, and order numbers.
  • Generate local reminders, local reports, and other results you request.
  • Support local coin-based features and in-app purchase entitlements.
  • Maintain app quality, troubleshoot problems, and improve the local workflow.

We do not use your screenshots to create an account profile, and we do not sell your screenshot content.

4. Local Storage and Retention

The app is intended to work locally. Screenshots remain in your Photos library unless you delete them yourself or move them through a system feature you control.

Local records created by the app may stay on your device until you remove them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Exported PDFs, text files, or reminders are kept wherever you choose to save them.

5. Purchases and Platform Services

Baseto may offer Apple in-app purchases for coin packs and feature unlocks. Apple handles the purchase flow, payment processing, receipts, and any platform-level purchase controls.

If you use platform permissions, Photos access, notifications, or file export features, the relevant Apple system services and permissions also apply.

6. Sharing and Disclosures

We do not intentionally send your screenshots to our servers by default. Information may leave your device only if you choose to export it, copy it, share it through another app, or use an Apple or system service that you control.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed for a local app workflow. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Baseto is not directed to children, and it is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page and make the updated version available in the app or through the applicable distribution channel.
